Logistic Engineering (LE)
Logistic engineering is conducted to ensure that equipment is able to fulfil its purpose with the minimum amount of down-time and cost. To achieve this, the equipment design must be analysed to ascertain how supportable it will be in its intended operational environment. This analysis often highlights areas in the design that will result in an unacceptable down-time and/or excessive costs to support the system/equipment.
